'2' was prepended to existing Honduras 7-digit national subscriber numbers to form new 8-digit numbers. Permissive use of old numbers was in effect until 11 February 2011. Mobile/wireless numbers, generally 8 digits at this point, were not affected.

Mobile numbers in Honduras expanded from 7 to 8 digits, with a digit prepended to existing mobile numbers:
