Telephone numbers are usually written as "nx xx xx xx" (domestic) or +45 nx xx xx xx (international), using two-digit groups for readability.

Denmark telecom regulator IT- og Telestyrelsen (National IT and Telecom Agency, previously TST/National Telecom Agency) has information on numbering (in English).

Denmark has used 8-digit national numbers for several years. The introduction dates of these are unknown.
