Various new mobile subscriber number ranges were introduced for Digicel Grenada.

Area code +1 473 replaced the existing overall Caribbean/Atlantic code +1 809 in Grenada and Carricou starting 31 October 1997 in permissive mode, and becoming mandatory 31 October 1998. Existing 7-digit subscriber numbers were retained.
